.
someway, somehow taryn had ended up on the skyline festival. she was having the time of her life, no doubt. seeing as she didn’t have a specific job on tour, she was pretty much free to roam around and do whatever she pleased. her “job” was to observe how the tour worked and what went on behind the scenes of things. as an intern, it was all a learning opportunity for her. she wished that she could say she’d learned more than she had, but so far she’d been so caught up in exploring everything that she hadn’t actually gotten the chance to sit down and observe actual events. instead she’d spent the majority of her time watching random people, trying to piece together the puzzle that was their life. her curiosity about people drove her to the most random places. she’d ended up in two or three mosh pits, just because she’d followed someone into the crowd. it was pretty unnecessary for her to go into the crowds though, seeing as she had an all access pass due to working directly for the record label. but it was whatever to her. once she’d made her way into the crowd, she’d stayed there. she enjoyed still acting like a fan and enjoying the tour as if she was nothing but.
today had been another typical day for taryn. she’d woken up pretty early, just before the first set started, and she’d immediately headed in its direction. instead of getting into the crowd though, she decided to stand side stage. it was her first time to stand side stage at a gig, but she had always wondered what it was like from that perspective. it had been an interesting experience, and her favorite part was that she got to see the crowd from a different angle now. the view she had of them allowed her to look over the kids more, seeing how excited they got over a band. it was kind of an inspiring thing, and it brought a small smile to her face. as she watched the crowd, she couldn’t help but wonder what brought each kid here. well, besides the obvious fact that they all liked music anyway. everyone’s heard the story about such and such band saving so and so’s life. how many kids here were watching the band that saved their life? she liked to think that the kid in the very front, screaming along to the lyrics, passion across their face was one of those kids. maybe it was a bit sadistic to think things like that, but to her it was a beautiful story of life. fortunately for her, she’d never dealt with suicidal feelings. but she was always going to support the people who made it through them, because it seemed like a tough thing, and she felt that everyone deserved to live a happy life.
anyway, after everyone’s sets had finished up and all of the signings were over, taryn found herself looking for something else to do. she’d talked to a few fans throughout the day, enjoying light conversation and the stories they told her. but all of the fans were starting to clear out and head back home, leaving the grounds pretty empty for the most part. bands were cleaning up their things, carrying them back to the bus, and getting ready for the events of the night. pretty much every night, there was a tour wide bbq on the grounds for anyone who wanted to attend. it was the perfect opportunity to eat, socialize, and drink. some people got more into the drinking part of the night than others did, but that was a pretty typical thing when it came to alcohol. taryn wasn’t much of a drinker on your typical day, however when thrown into a social drinking setting, she could put down quite a bit of liquor. it made the night a lot more fun than just sitting around sober. and seeing as she didn’t do it too often, it was like she was treating herself. by the time night rolled around, she was standing off to the side of the bbq with a drink in her hand. she’d already downed a few, and she was in the process of making a few new friends. well, if you felt like that calling them that.
in general, taryn was a touchy person. she loved to cuddle with people, kiss them, hold their hand, and just touch them in any way she could. well, except she wasn’t exactly the most sexual person in the world. her touching was rather innocent. that is until she was pretty much wasted. at that point she started throwing herself onto people. it was very leech like, but anyone close to taryn would expect that from her anyway. she was probably most vulnerable drunk, because her guard was completely let down. everything seemed like a fun idea to her, and there was no harm in anything. currently she was hanging onto some random guy that she’d bumped into, his arm around her waist holding her up as she raised her cup to her lips to take another drink. aside from that, she was constantly touching him. his chest, his face, anything she could. every so often she’d compliment him, laughing as she did. they were your typical drunken comments. you know things like you’re hot and other meaningless drunken slurs. looking around, her eyes landed on another boy who was standing nearby. this particular boy was one that she’d been fascinated with lately. judas, or jude as everyone called him, was someone she’d began talking to after running into him back at the offices before tour. she’d immediately marked him as one of those player types who’s main concern was to get as many girls into his bed as possible. despite this, she found him entertaining to casually talk to. smiling in his direction, she turned to face him as the guy she was currently holding onto continued to let her lean against him. ”jude!” she called out to him, his name an audible mess. ”juuuude! hey jude!” dropping her now empty cup to the ground, she used the arm that wasn’t looped over the guy’s shoulder to wave to jude. laughing again, she dropped her arm and went back to her physical attack on the guy she was with.
