To say he had his hands full was an understatement. Quite frankly Asher had no idea what he was doing, but he refused to give up. Sydney was the only good thing to come out of his wasted life, and he wasnt about to let his little blue eyed angel down. Sure Xoe's parents had wanted to keep her, told him he didnt need to take on the responsibility, but the moment he met his daughter, he fell in love. Sydney was all that mattered now, and Asher was determined to prove to every last soul that he was capable of being a good dad. Sure being a father was something he had run from more than once, but this was different now. He wasnt the same person he used to be, and it was time he started showing the world he wouldnt fail again. Sydney was currently giggling in the back seat of the black Chrysler 200, as Asher peered at her via the rear view mirror. "Hey squid, what are you talking about back there?" he said with a smile, taking a moment to glance at the road before peering back at the curly haired blonde in the car seat. Syd just smiled and laughed at her dad, but offered no verbal response. Sydney wasnt much of a direct talker, she'd talk to herself, but when asked a question became very shy.
Syd was a puzzle, one Asher was still trying to solve. She didnt seem to want to talk to him at all, but never hesitated to crawl up and cuddle with him. Ash figured he shouldnt be too worried about it, but some days he wonder if it was abnormal that she didnt want to talk to him. Ash smiled as he saw the famous golden arches and pulled into the parking lot. He parked the car off away from the others, and slowly got out of the front seat. He made his way to the drivers side back door and opened it with a grin. " Chi chi.." Sydney said happily as she started to flail in her car seat wanting out. Asher just laughed as he unfastened her seat belts and pulled her out of the car. He held her in his arms and started walking towards the entrance to McDonalds. He opened the door, careful not to drop Syd, and went inside. He pulled his sunglasses off and placed them on his head. At the sight of the play area Sydney went crazy and began squirming and fussing. "Alright, Alright." he said with a laugh as he carried her over and set her loose in the play area. Like always, she went straight for the ball pit.
Comfortable with the idea of his daughter playing safety, Asher hurried and order her a nugget happy meal, and him a ten piece. When it came to toys and food, Sydney simply didnt share. She had even gotten mad at Ash for stealing her nugget last time, so now he made sure to always order her own. Ashe went and got there drinks, and placed their food down on one of the tables. As he was about to go get Syd he heard a mother yelling in the play place. As he walked over to make sure Syd was alright, what he saw next couldnt help but to make him laugh a little. She currently had another small child by the hair and wouldnt let go. Asher rushed over, seeing as the mother that had been yelling was obviously the little boys mom. "Damnit Syd." he muttered under his breath, as he got his daughter to let go. "Im so sorry, im sure she wasnt trying to hurt him." he said truly apologetic to the other parent. "You should be..." came a cold snippy remark. Asher turned away from her, only to mutter 'bitch' under his breath as he walked away. "Why cant you just behave?" he asked is daughter placing her down in one of the chairs and putting her nuggets in front of her.
