" NINETEEN | LOVE LOST CITY | LEAD VOCALS | JORDAN WITZIGRUETER "SO TELL ME, WHO ARE YOU AGAIN?" "hi! i’m jayce nichols. i sing in the band love lost city, i don’t know if you’ve heard of us or not. i don’t want to assume that you have, because then i’ll seem conceited and i don’t want to seem that way because i’m not. at all. i don’t think. gosh. i hope i’m not. am i? um. anyway. yeah. i’m nineteen. and i sing!" "RIGHT RIGHT, SORRY. SO TELL ME A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF." "well. i don’t think there’s much too me, really. i just recently moved out of my parents house, which is kind of coming back to bite me. i thought it’d be a good idea, but i had no idea how hard it would be to buy me own food and pay my own rent. i’m getting it though. slowly. i figure everything you’d ever need to know about me is in my refrigerator. so i’ll just list the typical things in there. let’s see. i almost always have ice cream. it’s a necessity. and the only meat you’ll ever find is fish, because i’m a pescetarian. there’s a giant gummy bear sitting on the counter in my kitchen right now too, i’ve eaten his ear so far. i can’t eat a lot of him at once, because he kind of makes me sick. i’ll finish him eventually, don’t worry. i eat a lot of cereal, because i can’t really cook. and i order a lot of cheese pizza. yum. my favorite television shows are the ones that come on nickelodeon, like big time rush and icarly and spongebob and that show about the dog that’s a secret agent. agent puppy? something. i’m not sure. people always ask me how someone like me can right the music i write, but i feel like i write the music that i do because of who i am. i like living a simple, easy life. no bueno stress. " "INTERESTING! WHERE WAS IT THAT YOU SAID YOU COME FROM?" "i don’t think i did, but since you asked i’ll tell you anyway! i’m from phoenix, that’s in arizona. i grew up with my parents and little brother. it was a pretty nice way to grow up. i don’t have a sob story or anything. me and my little brother pretty much got to do whatever we wanted. neither one of us were bad kids who went out and partied and such, so our parents gave us a lot of freedom. for me, that mostly meant driving around town and hanging out in the local parks. swing sets are so fun! and slides. i love slides. i also spent a lot of time at school, because my mom is a teacher. but it wasn’t so bad. it helped a lot when it came time to pull a senior prank. not that i didn’t leave little pranks around all the time anyway. what kid wouldn’t when they had free reign around a school? i didn’t do anything harmful though. i did things like putting goldfish in the toilets and sinks." "WOW. SO WHAT IS A DAY IN THE LIFE OF YOU LIKE?" "well. i still do things like that at the venues on tour. so if you stumble upon a goldfish in your toilet, i was probably there. other than that, i guess it depends on whether we’re touring or not. when we’re not on tour i sleep in as much as i can, because sleep is precious. right? then i wake up, and i go to the kitchen and get a little something to eat. most likely some of that gummy bear since i need to finish him off. then i go sit on the couch and watch tv for awhile. after that, i do whatever i need to do with the band. on tour, it’s pretty much the same thing. i sleep in as much as i can, but that’s not much because i usually have to get up and find out what time we play, sign, and all that stuff. but my typical tour day is the typical tour day... i mean. sign, set, fans, repeat?" "NICE. LAST QUESTION... WHY ARE YOU WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW AND WHAT DOES THE FUTURE LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?" "i’m here because i love playing music and meeting fans and listening to them tell me about how much we’ve changed their lives. it’s a really inspiring thing. i also like making friends with the other bands, because they’re really cool people you know. my future? well i hope the band stays strong and gets more popular so we can start playing all over the world and i can sing until i’m in my 80s or something." "ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D LIKE TO ADD?" "you should come get icecream with me! my treat." hey there, the name's nicole. i live in the central time zone and this is my fifth don’t judge me i missed him ok character. |
