"i'm riley trent, and i don't mean to be rude but as the editor for sound addict, i'm extremely busy and don't have much time. so can this be quick?" "RIGHT RIGHT, SORRY. SO TELL ME A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF." "well, obviously i'm a really busy person. some people say i'm uptight and a party-pooper, but i like to think i actually have my head on right. i'm not into parties and drugs and things like that. frankly, i wouldn't have time for it even if i wanted to go. i'd rather sit at home and attempt to relax. you know, maybe run a bubble bath and read a book. i have a kindle that i carry around with me, and i'll read whenever i get the chance. which isn't very often. i have a bossy nature, i guess. i'm a leader, i think. i like to have control of the situation. i kind of freak out if i'm not the one making major decisions for myself. i've also become very motherly lately, but i don't guess i really had the choice there." "INTERESTING! WHERE WAS IT THAT YOU SAID YOU COME FROM?" "i'm from florida, originally. i grew up in orlando with my parents and older sister. when i turned eighteen, i moved out and started becoming more independent. like i said, i like to be the one in control of myself. so as i got older, listening to my parents became a problem. i didn't rebel or anything. i was a good kid. it was petty things that annoyed me, like having to ask to stay at a friends or something. i still live by myself, but after my sister got divorced she moved out here to be close by me." "WOW. SO WHAT IS A DAY IN THE LIFE OF YOU LIKE?" "my days are all different. i've never had a day that was like any other, so this is a bit of a difficult question. typically though, i spend my day editing and going through articles and piecing things together and trying not to boss people around too much. i realize how annoying that can be. besides that, i help take care of my nephew. my sister is a single parent and she works as a paramedic, which means she works twenty-four hour shifts. she has two days off, then she works. unless she gets called in. anyway, while she's working i take care of zane." "NICE. LAST QUESTION... WHY ARE YOU WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW AND WHAT DOES THE FUTURE LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?" "i have a passion for writing. i always have. even in high school, my english teachers would comment on how much effort i put into my papers. i always liked helping other students with their papers too. i'd go through and edit them and tell them what they could do to improve. i was pretty popular in my english classes just because i improved everyone else's grades by editing their papers. as stressful as my job can be, this is where i want to stay. i love it. i work closely with the music industry, which is great. i'm a bit of a concert junkie when i have the time." "ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D LIKE TO ADD?" "are we done? i have to pick up zane." hey there, the name's nicole. i live in the central time zone and this is my third character. |
